The Aquafit Neck Collar (Baby) is a close-fitting flotation aid designed to support the head and neck during aquatic therapy and exercise, while allowing the trunk and limbs to move freely. It helps low-toned swimmers with reduced head control maintain a balanced position in the water and is most suitable for individuals without spinal-origin pain who need a collar for independent exercise.
Design and materials
- Soft, pool-suitable fabric shell filled with buoyant polystyrene beads for comfortable, even support in warm-water environments.
- Adjustable Velcro closure for a secure fit; fasten evenly and do not overtighten.
- Tamper-proof zipper for refilling; beads can be topped up as needed after sustained use to maintain buoyancy.
Sizing and fit
- Baby: 24 cm inside circumference.
- Also available: Child 28 cm; Adult 40 cm. Select a size that allows a snug but comfortable fit around the neck, ensuring clear airway and unrestricted jaw movement.
Typical uses and positions
- Supports minimal-assistance flotation for sculling or gentle backstroke.
- Suitable for supine float, prone work, and corner activities.
- Applicable to some Bad Ragaz Ring Method techniques.
- Can be used as a resistance device in place of rings to progress strengthening and control.

Care and maintenance
- Rinse after each use. Clean with warm water and an antibacterial solution or mild detergent; rinse thoroughly and line dry (preferably in sun).
- Avoid prolonged soaking to prevent bead buoyancy loss.
- Do not leave in the pool or on rough surfaces; hang to dry/air.
- Rinse zipper after pool sessions to reduce corrosion; lubricate if needed. Top up beads via zipper when buoyancy decreases.
- Rinse Velcro after use to maintain adhesion and remove debris.
