Description
AsGUARD Clear+ Film Island Dressing is a sterile primary wound dressing designed for superficial wounds with light exudate. The dressing measures 10 x 12 cm and combines a transparent waterproof polyurethane film with a central absorbent pad. A relevant source reports the pad size as approximately 4.5 x 6 cm.
The outer film is waterproof, helping protect the wound from external contamination while allowing the user to shower. At the same time, the film is moisture-vapour permeable, which supports a balanced wound environment. The central pad is low-adherent, breathable, and absorbent, making it suitable for low-exuding wounds while helping to reduce trauma during dressing removal.

Suitable uses
This dressing is indicated for minor or superficial wounds such as cuts, abrasions, lacerations, skin tears, blisters, minor skin loss, and post-operative or post-procedural wounds with low exudate.
Application notes
Apply the dressing so the central pad fully covers the wound bed and extends beyond the wound margin. Wear time depends on the level of exudate and clinical judgement, with relevant sources indicating a maximum wear time of up to 7 days. Do not use if the patient has a known allergy to any dressing component.
