Description
QV Baby Barrier Cream is a rich, soothing barrier cream designed to protect delicate baby skin, especially in the nappy area. Made by Ego Pharmaceuticals, this 125g cream helps reduce exposure to common irritants by forming a protective layer against water, detergents, chemicals, and moisture that can contribute to nappy rash. Its moisturising base also supports skin hydration and helps reduce moisture loss.
The formula is non-sticky, non-greasy, low-irritant, pH balanced, soap-free, and fragrance-free, making it suitable for sensitive skin and other delicate body areas. It is also vegan friendly, with no animal-derived ingredients.

Ingredients and how they work
Zinc Oxide and Dimethicone help create a barrier over the skin, with Dimethicone contributing water-repellent protection. Glycerin helps attract and retain moisture in the skin, while Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5) supports hydration and helps reduce water loss. Paraffinum Liquidum also helps limit moisture loss from the skin surface.
Directions
At each nappy change, remove the wet or soiled nappy, clean the area thoroughly, and apply the cream to the affected skin, including the skin folds.
Additional uses
This barrier cream may also be used on skin folds or areas affected by chafing, and is sometimes used for infant facial rash or heat rash.
Cautions and storage
Avoid contact with the eyes. If irritation occurs, wash the area and discontinue use. Do not use soap on affected skin, as it may irritate. Store below 30°C.
