Description
The Garmin vívoactive 6 is a unisex multisport GPS smartwatch designed for everyday health tracking, structured training, and connected convenience. It combines a compact, lightweight build with a 1.2-inch AMOLED color touchscreen offering a 390 x 390 resolution, optional always-on mode, Red Shift low-light mode, and adjustable font sizes for easier viewing in different conditions.
Design and Display
Built with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lens, anodized aluminum bezel, and fiber-reinforced polymer case, the watch is made for daily wear and exercise. The case measures 42.2 x 42.2 x 10.9 mm and fits wrists from 125 to 190 mm. It uses a silicone band with 20 mm quick-release compatibility for easy strap changes. The watch weighs 23 g on its own, or 36 g with the band, and has a 5 ATM swim rating.
Health and Wellness Features
Garmin includes a broad set of wellness tools such as Body Battery energy monitoring, 24/7 wrist-based heart rate, HRV status, stress tracking, respiration tracking, Pulse Ox, hydration logging, and women’s health tracking. Sleep features include advanced sleep tracking, sleep score, sleep coach, nap detection, Smart Wake Alarm, and morning and evening reports. Additional tools like Health Snapshot, meditation, and breathwork support daily wellness routines.
Training and Sports Tracking
With more than 80 built-in sports apps, the vívoactive 6 supports activities across running, cycling, swimming, gym workouts, winter sports, team sports, racket sports, and more. Training tools include Garmin Coach, daily suggested workouts, animated workouts, custom workout support, running dynamics, PacePro, interval training, recovery time, workout benefit, fitness age, and VO2 max. Accessibility features include wheelchair mode, daily push tracking, wheelchair-specific workouts, and weight-shift alerts.
GPS, Battery, and Smart Features
The watch supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and BeiDou, along with sensors including Garmin Elevate wrist-based heart rate, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor. Battery life is rated up to 11 days in smartwatch mode, 5 days with always-on display, 21 days in battery saver mode, 21 hours in GPS-only GNSS mode, 17 hours in all-systems GNSS mode, and 8 hours in all-systems GNSS mode with music.
With 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth, ANT+, and Wi-Fi connectivity, it works with iPhone and Android smartphones through Garmin Connect and Connect IQ. Smart functions include notifications, Garmin Pay, onboard music storage for Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon Music, weather, calendar tools, phone and watch finding, and safety features such as incident detection, assistance, and live location sharing when paired with a compatible smartphone.
