Description

Infatrini 125 ml is a ready-to-use, nutritionally complete infant medical feed from Nutricia for the dietary management of faltering growth, growth failure, disease-related malnutrition, increased energy requirements, and fluid restriction. It is an unflavoured formula for enteral use only and can be given orally, including by bottle or teat, or by tube feeding. It is suitable from birth to 18 months, or up to 9 kg, and may be used as a sole source of nutrition under strict medical supervision.

Nutritional profile

This energy-dense feed provides 1.0 kcal per ml. Each 125 ml bottle supplies about 126 kcal, 3.25 g protein, 12.9 g carbohydrate, 6.75 g fat, and 0.75 g fibre. Per 100 ml, it provides about 100 to 101 kcal, 2.6 g protein, 10.3 g carbohydrate, 5.4 g fat, 0.6 g fibre, and 0.09 g salt.

It includes a whey-dominant milk protein blend, prebiotic GOS/FOS fibres, DHA and ARA in an approximately 1:1 ratio, and nucleotides. Selected micronutrients per 100 ml include calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, and vitamin D.

Ingredients and allergen information

Key ingredients include demineralised water, skimmed cow's milk, maltodextrin, vegetable oils, lactose, whey protein, milk fat, GOS/FOS fibres, and fish oil. It contains milk, soy lecithin, fish, and lactose. It is gluten free.

Use and handling

Shake well before use. Serve at room temperature or warm gently in warm water. Do not boil or microwave. Check the temperature before feeding. Store unopened in a cool, dry place. Once opened, refrigerate immediately and use within 12 hours. For tube feeding, the maximum hanging time is 4 hours. Discard any unfinished feed.

This product is not suitable for patients with galactosaemia and is not for parenteral use.
