Description
The Medicina ENFit Reusable Enteral Syringe range is designed for the delivery of enteral feeds, medicines and flushes across neonatal, paediatric and adult care. These syringes are ENFit compliant to ISO 80369-3 and use an enteral-specific female locking connector. This allows connection with compatible ENFit feeding tubes, administration sets and other enteral equipment without adapters, while helping reduce the risk of misconnections with IV or other non-enteral systems.
The range is identified by purple enteral colour coding and is available in 1 mL, 2.5 mL, 5 mL, 10 mL, 20 mL and 60 mL sizes. Clear measurement markings support accurate preparation and administration. The 1 mL and 2.5 mL syringes feature a low-dose tip design to improve dose accuracy for smaller volumes, while the wide internal tip diameter across the range helps support improved gravity or bolus feed flow and lower-pressure medicine delivery.
Construction and materials
Each syringe has a three-piece construction with barrel, plunger and silicone gasket or O-ring. The O-ring is designed to help prevent swelling during cleaning. The syringes are latex-free, DEHP-free and individually packaged.
Reuse and care
These syringes are intended for same-patient reuse for up to 40 uses over a maximum of 7 days, after which they should be discarded. Clean immediately after use with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, dry fully and store in a clean, dry lidded container. Avoid boiling water, dishwashers, steam sterilisers, brushes or scouring pads, and harsh cleaning agents. Use cold sterilising solution only if specifically instructed, and only for the minimum recommended time.
