Description

Nutricia Nutrini Energy is a ready-to-use, nutritionally complete high-energy paediatric enteral tube feed designed for children aged 1 to 6 years, or those weighing 8 to 20 kg. It is intended for the dietary management of disease-related malnutrition, faltering growth, increased nutritional requirements, and clinical situations where a fibre-free diet is needed.

Provided in a 500 ml resealable OpTri bottle for enteral feeding, this formula delivers 1.5 kcal per ml, providing 750 kcal per bottle. Each 500 ml serving also contains 20 g protein, 92.5 g carbohydrate, 33.5 g fat, and no fibre. The formula includes DHA and EPA from fish oil, with 265.5 mg DHA and 63 mg EPA per bottle.

Composition and nutritional profile

Nutrini Energy is a whey-protein-enriched formula containing milk proteins, maltodextrin, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, and fish oil. It is fortified with vitamins and minerals and includes taurine, choline, L-carnitine, and carotenoids such as beta-carotene, lutein, and lycopene. It contains less than 0.125 g lactose per 500 ml and has an osmolality of 390 mOsmol/kg H2O.

Dietary information

This product is halal certified and gluten-free to less than 5 ppm. It contains milk, soy, and fish.

Important use information

Use only under medical supervision. It is suitable as a sole source of nutrition, but is not suitable for infants under 1 year of age, for patients with galactosaemia, or for parenteral use. Caution is advised in children aged 7 years and older and in those with seafood allergy.

Handling and storage

Shake well before use and use at room temperature. Handle aseptically. Do not dilute or add medications. Once opened, refrigerate and discard any unused contents within 24 hours.
