Description

SYSTANE COMPLETE Lubricant Eye Drops is a sterile white ophthalmic emulsion designed to lubricate the eye surface and provide temporary relief from dry eye symptoms such as burning and irritation. This preserved 10 mL formula from Systane, an Alcon brand, is intended for adults and can be used as needed throughout the day.

Formulation and dry eye support

This product contains propylene glycol 0.6% as the active lubricant ingredient. It also uses nano-droplet technology with hydroxypropyl guar and mineral oil to help hydrate the surface of the eye and support protection against tear evaporation. The formulation is described as suitable for aqueous-deficient, evaporative or lipid-deficient, and mixed dry eye, offering broad dry eye support in a single product.

Ingredients

Inactive ingredients include hydroxypropyl guar, mineral oil, dimyristoyl phosphatidylglycerol, polyoxyl 40 stearate, sorbitan tristearate, boric acid, sorbitol, edetate disodium, polyquaternium-1 (POLYQUAD) 0.001% preservative, and purified water. It may also contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.

Directions for use

Shake well before use. Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye or eyes as needed throughout the day.

Important safety information

For ocular use only. Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient in the product. Do not use if the security seal, package, or bottle is damaged, and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface. Do not use the emulsion if it changes color.

Temporary blurred vision may occur after application, so wait until vision clears before driving or operating machinery. Stop use and seek advice from an eye care professional if you experience eye pain, persistent discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness, or continued irritation.

Storage and pack information

Store at 2°C to 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. The product is supplied in a 10 mL plastic bottle, and any remaining emulsion should be discarded 6 months after opening.
